“Awareness is the foundation of successful parenting. At Parent Footprint, we are committed to building a community of parents empowered to raise self-aware children who are fully engaged in their own lives. Together, we will change the world!”
Doesn’t that resonate for you? For me, it speaks volumes for the foundation of my work is solely guided by the belief that our children present an extraordinary opportunity leading toward our own growth as parents as well as they behold within them our future. Simply, by embracing the gift within our children, we will transform our schools, our society, and ourselves*. And now, there is a platform for parents to experience the unfolding of this understanding: Parentfootprint.com
I am proud to call Dr. Dan Peters, the guiding founder of Parent Footprint, a friend, a colleague, and a masterful teacher. We have shared numerous conference stages together, spoke at length about our common vision, and have discussed ways in which we can support parents during this remarkable time we live in. Sure, one doesn’t have to look far to see chaos within our society, experience personal stress, or just be astounded by the roller-coaster ride of life which seems to be impacting everyone, including our children. However, there is also an amazing opportunity of transformation taking place. And it often presents itself within our families and through our children due to the unique nature of their path and it’s impact on our lives as parents. You will find within the Parent Footprint website resources, tools, and most notably, inspiration. “Dr Dan” and his guests offer parents a true respite from the deluge of “doing” through the powerful notion of just “being”; being the best we can be in support of our children and their evolution.
I encourage you to take a few minutes and visit Parent Footprint. It will feel like a welcome oasis online in contrast to all the other resources available for parents. For love and compassion serve as the guiding principles within this valuable project. Specifically, this link is the first of many webinar conversations between Dr. Peters and his guests; this one features our conversation, highlighting “From Surviving to Thriving: Finding your Child’s Sweet Spot at School, Home and in Life with Larry Davis“.
Think of this as my holiday treat to you.
Blessings to you all.
