BOOK COVER INSIDERSNavigating the Special Needs path tends to be a maze through an alphabet soup of  IEP, 504 Plan, and RTI intervention.  Something so important as your child’s education should be much easier then what unfolds. So we created The INSIDERS GUIDE TO SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY.  And I believe this book stands alone for it’s simple in it’s format to follow but more importantly, it’s written so parents and non-educators can take lead in their child’s intervention process.

It was first written back in 2011 and we have sold hundreds  of copies online as well as at workshops.  However, last summer, we saw an extraordinary leap in sales online and it was clear that I needed to revisit this book.

So Carmel and I spent most of the summer re-writing the handbook and editing it down to assure it was comprehensive, simple to implement, and worked across states, districts, and schools.  THE INSIDERS GUIDE TO SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVOCACY is now available through CreateSpace and Amazon and we are proud how it turned out.

Earlier today we received a review from one of our clients and it means a lot to me when someone like Eleven Viernes shared the following comments for she knows Special Education as a parent as well as a professional (SLP).

“Thank you SO MUCH for sending a copy of your book. I LOVE it! It’s easy to use and provides very practical information. Parents usually recommend Wright’s Law: “From Emotions to Advocacy” to already very confused fellow parents. I have that book. I scanned a few pages for reference, then put it back on the shelf.

Yours is a hundred times better. It provides the framework for what you need to build on. You explain things without overwhelming the reader. Brilliant. I’ll definitely recommend it!”

Thank you Eleven for your support!  And also, thank you to everyone who has supported us along this path for the purpose behind our work is to help parents navigate the special needs path as an informed partner.
